With the enormous re-construction of the important hub for traffic and public transport in Stockholm, Slussen, the soundscape is entirely different from that which many people are accustomed with in this area. One example of that is at Katarinavägen, just above the construction site. This road is usually heavily trafficked but during the construction the road is almost entirely shut of; with a magnificent view of Stockholm from its high position the pedestrians along with bicycles and light traffic (such as mopeds) have reconquered this bit of the town. Compared to when I was just sitting here last time, a few years back, the soundscape is entirely different. Photo and recording by Erik Pålsson.
